Joan Lea was born in Dallas and has returned to the Fort Worth Metroplex area after a 12 year hiatus.  She attended Stephen F. Austin University and had a career as an Asset Manager during the Savings & Loan crisis in the 1980’s through 1995.  Prior to attaining her real estate license for the first time in 1995, she worked at several major banks as a commercial loan workout officer dealing with many types of real estate collateral.

With a wide variety of experiences under her belt, Ms. Lea has renewed her license to apply those experiences to today’s real estate markets. Her decision to join the dynamic Amy Smolik Team is based on personal experience as Joan is one of those satisfied customers on both investment property acquisition and her personal residence. 

Joan will be a positive addition to an already high performance broker.  Ms. Smolik’s business is generally on referral from satisfied customers and she is known far and wide for her high ethical standards and personal service, which lasts long after the transaction has been completed. 

Joan Lea loves painting, decorating and boating, is a problem-solver and an advocate for children with special needs.
